Weekly Update - September 26, 2007
MAIN STREET UPDATE
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ACCOMPLISHED
- Sidewalk Installation continued along the 100 and 200 blocks of Main Street.
- Concrete base installation work for pavers was completed by Busken’s, at the northwest corner of Mason-Montgomery Road and Main Street.
- Installation work continued on the foundations for the plaza walls.
- Grading work continued for the public parking area located at the old Speedway lot.
- Installation work was completed for the driveway aprons at State Farm Insurance and Fifth Third Bank’s rear access drive.
OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Construction work on the planting walls of the plaza area will continue.
- Sidewalk installation will continue on Main Street, from Forest Avenue to the plaza area.
- Time Warner will begin pulling cable lines underground.
- Crews will begin installing the water tap and meter for the plaza’s drinking fountain, irrigation and future icon.
MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT
ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:
- Paving work continued along parts of Mason-Montgomery Road, to assist with the opening of lanes for northbound traffic.
- Restoration work continued. Crews are seeding, mulching, and laying topsoil for the yards affected by the construction.
- Cincinnati Bell completed relocating fiber optic lines. Time Warner has begun to relocate their lines to the new poles.
OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Storm sewer installation work continued across North Street.
- Installation work will continue on miscellaneous curbs, aprons, and sidewalks that have yet to be completed.
- Once Time Warner completes cable relocation, Embarq will begin relocating their lines.
