Utility Work Continues as Crews Install Pavers

MAIN STREET UPDATE

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

ACCOMPLISHED

  • Crews have installed sidewalks and are pouring driveway aprons in various locations.
  • Wall installation continued in the plaza area and the parking lot adjacent to 111 Reading Road.
  • Workers installed light pole foundations in the plaza area.
  • Mud slab was poured for the paver area in front of Fifth Third Bank.
  • Duke Energy began pulling wire for underground electric.
  • Time Warner continues to pull wire for underground cable.
  • The first underground electric hook up was completed for 125 West Main Street.
  • Workers have started installation of the pavers on the north side of Main Street.

OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

  • Sidewalk and driveway apron installation will continue in various locations.
  • Wall installation will continue in the plaza area and for the parking lot area adjacent to 111 Reading Road.
  • Conduit installation will continue in the plaza area for street lights and the irrigation system.
  • Electrical services will continue to be transferred from overhead to underground for some individual buildings.

MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT

ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:

  • Conduits for the streetlights will continue to be installed.
  • Sidewalks, driveway aprons, and curb ramps were poured in several locations.
  • Restoration work continued. Crews are continuing to seed disturbed areas.
  • Time Warner continued cable line installation.

OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:

  • Paving work will occur on West North Street. Once complete, crews will re-open the street for westward one-way traffic.
  • Paving work on the bike path will be completed.
  • Pouring of driveways, sidewalks, and aprons will be completed.
  • The restoration and seeding of disturbed areas will continue.
  • Street light foundation installation will begin.
  • Time Warner should finish their cable relocation. Once complete, Embarq will begin relocating their phone lines to the new poles.
