Inclement Weather Has Caused Work Crews Some Delays

MAIN STREET UPDATE

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

ACCOMPLISHED

  • Curbs were installed in the parking lot adjacent to 111 Reading Road.
  • Crews have continued to install the fascia stone to the walls in the plaza area.
  • Additional cement for the pavers was poured in the plaza area.
  • A portion of Time Warner Cable’s lines has been switched to the underground service.
  • Duke Energy continues work to prepare the 300 block for underground service.
  • Workers have installed pavers in the 100 and 200 blocks of Main Street.
  • Conduit installation continued in the plaza area for streetlights and the irrigation system.

OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

  • Masonry wall installation will begin in front of the parking lot for Muennich’s Garage and the Barber Shop.
  • Workers will continue installing the stone fascia to the walls in the plaza.
  • Pavers will be installed in the strips along the sidewalk areas of the 100 to 200 blocks of Main Street.
  • Conduit installation will be completed in the plaza area for streetlights and the irrigation system.
  • Trench drains and concrete benches will be installed in the plaza area.
  • Electrical services will continue to be transferred from overhead to underground for some individual buildings.
  • Milling of the asphalt in the roadway will begin.

NOTES OF INTEREST:

  • Inclement weather has caused some delays for crews in certain areas. Mainline has now reported three lost workdays due to the recent torrential rains.

MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT

ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:

  • Conduits for the streetlights will continue to be installed.
  • Restoration and seeding work for disturbed areas continued.
  • Time Warner Cable continued cable line installation and relocation of the fiber optic lines.
  • Embarq began work on telephone line relocation.

OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:

  • The restoration and seeding of disturbed areas will continue.
  • Street light foundation installation will begin.
