Weekly Update - November 7, 2007
MAIN STREET UPDATE
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ACCOMPLISHED
- Stone fascia installation continues on the walls in the plaza area.
- Duke Energy continues preparation work for underground service installation.
- Installation of the paver strips was completed along portions of Main Street.
- Installation of trench drains and piping was completed in the plaza area.
- Crews have poured footers and are working on the walls in front of Muennich’s Garage and the Barber Shop.
- Installation of pavers has begun at Mason-Montgomery Road at Buskin’s Bakery.
- Milling of the roadways has begun in preparation for intermediate coarse of asphalt.
OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Milling of the roadway will be completed. Crews will then begin paving the intermediate coarse of asphalt.
- Street tree installation will begin in the planting areas.
- Installation of the stone fascia will continue on the walls in the plaza, as well as the wall next to the new parking lot.
- Sidewalk installation in the plaza area will begin.
- Paver installation will continue at Mason-Montgomery Road and Main Street.
- Electrical services will continue to be transferred from overhead to underground for individual buildings.
- Driveway restoration for pavement disturbed by construction will begin.
MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT
ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:
- Restoration and seeding work for disturbed areas continued.
- Embarq is working on relocating their overhead lines to the new poles.
- Duke Energy began removing some of the poles where services have been removed.
OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- The restoration and seeding of disturbed areas will continue.
- Embarq will continue relocation of their services to the new poles. Once they complete the relocation, the old poles will be removed.
- Workers will continue milling and paving the roadway.
