Weekly Update - November 28, 2007
MAIN STREET UPDATE
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ACCOMPLISHED
- Installation of the fascia stone continued on the walls in the plaza area.
- Workers installed street trees and ground coverings along Main Street.
- Paver installation continued in the plaza area.
- Crews continue to work on the irrigation system for the plaza area and install plants in the planter walls.
- Embarq continues tying in conduits for underground service installation.
OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Crews will continue to install pavers in the plaza area.
- Street tree installation will be completed.
- Installation of the fascia stone will be completed on the walls in the plaza area.
- When underground services are in place, Duke will begin removing overhead lines. Once power is transferred for the Embarq building on Forest Avenue, Duke Energy will start removing their primary and secondary lines. They will also install temporary cable in areas to continue power for overhead street lights. Please note that crews will utilize flaggers while removing lines.
OTHER NOTES OF INTEREST:
NOTES OF INTEREST: - Due to the holiday weekend and torrential rain, workers were off Thursday through Monday, November 22-26.
MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT
ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:
- Installation work continues on the street light foundations.
OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Street light foundation work will be completed.
- Embarq will complete their relocation work and remove the old utility poles.
