Weekly Update - December 5, 2007
MAIN STREET UPDATE
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ACCOMPLISHED
- Installation of the fascia stone continued on the walls in front of the parking areas.
- Workers continued the installation of the street trees and ground coverings along Main Street.
- Paver installation continued in the plaza area.
- Crews continue to work on the irrigation system for the plaza area.
- Embarq continues tying in conduits for underground service installation.
- Sidewalk in and near the plaza area was installed.
- Duke Energy transferred overhead services to underground west of the plaza and has begun removal of the overhead electrical lines.
OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Crews will continue to install pavers in the plaza area.
- Sidewalk will be poured in front of the Embarq building on Forest Avenue.
- Installation of the fascia stone will be completed on the walls in the plaza area.
- Embarq and Time Warner will continue to work on underground lines.
MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT
ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:
- Installation work continues on the streetlight foundations.
- A catch basin was installed at North Street.
- Restoration work of disturbed areas with topsoil and seeding continued.
OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:
- Streetlight foundation work will be completed.
- Embarq is scheduled to complete their relocation work this week and then old poles will be removed the following week, weather dependant.
