MAIN STREET UPDATE

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

ACCOMPLISHED

• Installation of the fascia stone continued on the walls in front of the parking areas of the plaza. Work is approximately 85% complete.
• Paver installation continued in the plaza area.
• Embarq has begun installation of underground cables.
• Duke Energy has been replacing poles and upgrading power lines on South West Street.

OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

• Crews will continue to install pavers in the plaza area.
• Sidewalk will be poured in front of the Embarq building on Forest Avenue.
• Installation of the fascia stone will be completed on the walls in the plaza area.
• Embarq and Time Warner will continue to work on underground lines.

MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD PROJECT

ACCOMPLISHED THUS FAR:

• Installation work of streetlight foundations has been completed.
• Restoration work of disturbed areas with topsoil and seeding continued.
• Crews poured foundation for the power cabinet for the street lights.

OUTLOOK FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS:

• Embarq has removed all but three poles. They have contacted Duke Energy to assist with removing the remaining oversized poles.
• Sections of sidewalk where old utility poles were removed will be installed, weather dependent.
