Weekly Update - July 11, 2007
MAIN STREET UPDATE
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ACCOMPLISHED
- Conduit installation is complete between Reading Road and South East Street on the south side of Main Street.

Signs for parking have been erected along side streets and alleys of Main Street. Look for additional signage soon.

Storm sewer installation continues.
OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS
- Conduit and storm sewer installation continues. It is estimated that downtown storm sewer installation will finish within the next couple of weeks. Installation work may also begin on sanitary sewers between Reading Road and Forest Avenue.
- Crews will begin grading for roadway relocation work.
- Duke Energy will begin working on utility poles to supplement the underground lines.
SAFETY ISSUES
- There are still some concerns regarding trucks not following detours around downtown, especially around Church Street. Police and workers are working diligently to correct this issue.
- Greater Cincinnati Water Works accidentally broke three water valves. Water was temporarily shut down. Every effort was made to contact the residents who were affected and water services were turned back on the same day.
MASON-MONTGOMERY ROAD UPDATE
ACCOMPLISHED
- Storm sewer installation began.
- Workers are finishing water tie-ins. Water services are being connected for individual homes.
OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS
- Storm sewer installation will continue.
- Grading will continue on the east side of the road.
- Duke Energy will begin relocating gas line conflicts for the storm sewer. They also may shift utility poles to accommodate the widening of the road.
- Gas line installation will begin.
