Weekly Update - March 5, 2008
CONSTRUCTION NEWS:
- Crews continued to install wiring for the traffic signal at Reading Road and West Main Street.
- Installation of the downtown streetlights continues.
- The foundation for one lighting control center has been poured.
- Duke Energy repaired a gas leak on North West Street.
- Time Warner continued to transfer service over to new lines.
- Embarq continued splicing over to the new lines.
NOTES OF INTEREST:
- Due to the obvious weather conditions, work will continue to be limited for the next several weeks. Downtown streetlight work will continue for the next couple of weeks as weather allows. If warmer weather develops, the other lighting control foundation will be poured next week as well.
