Weekly Update - April 2, 2008

CONSTRUCTION NEWS:

• The streetlights on Main Street and Mason-Montgomery Road have all been installed and the contractor is working on providing power to the lights.
• The new signal at Reading Road and West Main Street has been completed and is in full operation.
• Utility companies will continue working on transferring utilities to the new lines.

NOTES OF INTEREST:

• Fun Fact: Cincinnati Reds Opening Day is already on the books and the new Major League Baseball is season underway. Mason produced its own early-era professional baseball player. Pierce “Percy” Coleman broke into the big leagues with the St. Louis Browns on July 2, 1897, as a 21-year old right-handed pitcher. He also played briefly for the Cincinnati Reds. Coleman was born in Mason on October 15, 1876.
