Weekly Update - June 11, 2008

CONSTRUCTION NEWS:

• Embarq has one pole and a span of wire to remove.
• Cincinnati Bell completed splicing their fiber optic line and has begun removing their old cable. Cincinnati Bell will remove the remaining poles once the old cable lines have been completely removed.
• Upon the completion of the pole removal, the City of Mason will schedule the contractor to return and complete the remaining work, including the final course of pavement, striping, etc.

NOTES OF INTEREST:

• The United States celebrates Father’s Day on the third Sunday in June. Father’s Day was created in celebration of male parenting and as a complement to Mother’s Day. Though recognized and celebrated since 1908, Father’s Day was not officially named a national holiday until 1972, while Richard Nixon occupied the White House.
