  • This Friday, July 4th, will mark the 232nd birthday celebration of the United States of America. Earlier this year, Warren County and Mason both celebrated birthdays in the month of June. The original city property was purchased by William Mason in 1803. He platted 16 lots on this land and named it Palmira in 1815. The name was changed to Mason in 1835. The town of Mason was officially incorporated to become a city in 1970.
  • Mason celebrates the country’s founding on July 3 at Red, Rhythm & Boom! Event activities begin at 5:30 p.m. at Corwin M. Nixon Park and end with fireworks at 10:30. For information, call 513-229-8502 or visit www.imaginemason.org.
