Downtown Construction
Weekly Update - July 23, 2008

CONSTRUCTION NEWS:

• Mainline Construction continues installation of the remaining sidewalk, curb, and paver areas.
• Work continues on punch list items.
• Natorp’s continues planting flowers and other annuals in the planters.
• Surface course asphalt has been completed on Mason-Montgomery Road. The remaining paving on West Main Street and Reading Road will continue through the remainder of the week, weather permitting.
• Final pavement striping will begin once the paving is complete.

NOTES OF INTEREST:

• Originally named The Mason Area Chamber of Commerce, The Northeast Chamber of Commerce was founded in January of 1968. From the beginning, the Chamber has grown from 27 members to 62 zip codes represented by over 900 members. The name was officially changed to The Northeast Chamber of Commerce in March of 2007 to reflect the amount of growth it has seen. Over the years, the Chamber has headed many projects to improve the area, such as Fix-Up, Clean-Up, and Paint-Up Week as well as the Mason Heritage Festival.
