NOTES OF INTEREST:

  • Join us this Saturday, August 23, in the newly renovated Downtown Mason for the return of the Mason Heritage Festival! The festival will return to downtown after two years of relocation due to the construction. The parade starts at 10 a.m. along Mason-Montgomery Road and Main Street, and will be followed by food, fun, and entertainment. For a map and schedule of events, check out the Festivals of Mason website at www.festivalsofmason.com.
  • On Sunday, August 17, the City of Mason marked the completion of its new Main Street and downtown plaza with a public dedication ceremony and community celebration. The plaza dedication featured the Mason Community Band and Jazz ensemble, featuring vocalist Tajci. The event was a success with over 100 Mason residents, employees, council members, and business owners attending. Local media also attended the event with Channel 5, 9, 12, and 19 all represented and Channel 12’s Larry Davis shooting a live newscast. Mason Pulse Journal also covered the dedication.
