What is the number for the "Call Before You Dig" services offered by OUPS?

Please call at least 48 hours before you dig in your yard to have the utilities marked in the area where you will be working. This will protect you from harm and help prevent an interruption in service.

What are the different colors used for utility marking and what do they mean?
The uniform color code used in marking utilities tells the contractor which utility is in the construction area and relates to each utility as follows:

red

electric power lines, cables, conduit, and lighting cables

yellow

gas, oil, steam, petroleum, or gaseous materials

orange

communication, alarm or signal lines, cables, or conduit

blue

water, irrigation, and slurry lines

green

sewers and drain lines

pink

temporary survey markings

white

proposed excavation
