Mason Manta Rays Swim Team
The City of Mason has a year-round, competitive USA Swim Team. Team members compete at USA-sponsored meets on a local, state, regional, and national basis, depending on ability.
Team members are expected to have some swimming experience. This swim team is not for the novice or beginner swimmer. Tryouts are required for all swimmers wanting to be on the team and priority is given to community residents (CR). Team members must have an annual Community Center pass.
Tryouts for the 2010-2011 season have already been held.

Mason Water Moccasins Swim Team
The Mason Water Moccasin Swim Team is a recreational swim team that competes in the Tri-County Swim League in June and July and practices at the Lou Eves Municipal Pool. Swimmers participating on the team will improve the four competitive swim strokes, starts and turns, and learn what it's like to work as a member of a team and the importance of sportsmanship. Swimmers will compete with each other and with other swimmers in the league.
Registration information for the next year will be included prior to the start of the season in Funformason, which is mailed inside OurTown magazine or as a separate brochure.
Anyone interested in learning more about this recreational swim team is encouraged to contact Todd Billhimer, Head Age Group Coach, at 513-229-8555, ext. 5516.
Please note: A Lou Eves Municipal Pool pass is required to participate and must be purchased at or before time of swim team registration.
Manta Ray Masters Swim Team
The Mason Community Center is pleased to offer a swim team program for any swimmer age 19 and older. We welcome swimmers of all abilities. Improve your overall fitness, develop better technique, train for a triathlon, swim competitively, or just enjoy the water. Competitions are optional.
Coaches are available during scheduled practice times to help you attain your personal goals. Additional practices may be added. Participants are not required to attend all practices.
This program is offered in 12 monthly sessions of Masters Swimming each year. The cost of each session is based on our VIP pricing structure.
A Mason Community Center membership is NOT required to participate but a membership or daily pass are required for participants wishing to use the pool other than the designated practice hours.
For more information, download the Manta Ray Masters brochure or call the Mason Community Center at 513-229-8555.
PLEASE NOTE: All participants should possess some knowledge of basic swimming skills. The team is not a substitute for swim lessons and those who wish to learn how to swim are encouraged to enroll in our adult swim lessons. Dates and times of swim lessons can be found in Funformason.
