Every year, Mason residents are invited to join thousands of communities nationwide for the annual National Night Out. This crime and drug prevention event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and Target Stores and co-sponsored locally by the City of Mason Police Department.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness by generating support for and participation in local anticrime programs. It also strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and, most importantly, sends a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
