MASON HOLDING ANNUAL SCOUT DAY OCTOBER 10
The Mason Police Department is hosting the annual Scout Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, at the Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road.
The event provides an opportunity to earn merit badges and is open to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts living in Mason, scouts attending school in Mason, and scouts belonging to Mason-based groups.
Scout Day will include displays of police and SWAT vehicles. There will also be tours of the police department and classes on citizenship, drug awareness, gun safety, and flag etiquette. Hot dogs will be served.
At 10 a.m., a flag ceremony will open the event and Mayor Tom Grossmann will welcome the scouts. Former mayor Char Pelfrey will lead a tour of the Veterans Memorial at noon.
