(MASON, Ohio: November 21, 2011) – Intelligrated, a leading North American-owned automated material handling solutions provider with operations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, announced that it will double its Mason, Ohio, headquarters and bring 200 new jobs to the region over the next three years. Intelligrated executives made the announcement today with Ohio Governor John R. Kasich and Mason Vice Mayor David Nichols.

Construction plans are being finalized for the new 60,000-90,000 square-foot facility, which will support the company’s strategic growth in the material handling industry. Intelligrated currently employs close to 800 people in Ohio and will bring the region an additional 200 new technical and engineering positions in research and development, system design and customer service.

“We aim to be the most technologically-advanced player in the material handling industry,” said Chris Cole, CEO of Intelligrated. “To achieve this, we need space to house the best mechanical, software and systems talent in the world.”

Intelligrated’s expansion is made possible by a combined incentive package from the State of Ohio and City of Mason. The package is valued at approximately $15 million. Final approval of the package is pending and Intelligrated’s expansion plans are contingent upon their approval. The incentives are likely to include an extension of Intelligrated’s existing Job Creation Tax Credit, state and local loans, property tax abatement, and a State of Ohio Grant.

“Intelligrated is yet another excellent example that Mason knows how local, regional and state partnerships should work and then commits the time and resources to build them,” said Nichols. “We have had several successes recently. For Intelligrated, Mason Council worked through our Mason Port Authority, partners at Cincinnati USA regional chamber and the State of Ohio to leverage more than $15 million in state investment to foster their growth.”

“Intelligrated appreciates the generous efforts of Ohio and the City of Mason to support our growth and create new jobs for Ohioans,” said Cole. “These incentives will directly support these efforts, help us create and keep more high-quality technical jobs in Ohio, and advance Mason as a strategic hub of our nation’s logistics network.”

Intelligrated is part of a growing community of international business headquarters based in Mason, including Procter & Gamble (oral care, personal care and pet care headquarters), Luxottica Retail (Lenscrafters headquarters) and Cintas. The City of Mason, recently named 24th in CNN Money Magazine’s Top 100 Places to live, was recognized for job growth, home affordability, safety, school quality, health care, arts and leisure, diversity, and several ease-of-living criteria.

“This development should be celebrated. With 200 new technical and engineering jobs coming to Mason and millions in economic investment, we couldn’t ask for a more exciting start to 2012,” said Mason Mayor Don Prince.

Intelligrated, a leader in its industry, supplies automated material handling solutions including conveyor systems, sortation systems, palletizing systems, order fulfillment systems, and advanced warehouse control software to the warehousing, distribution, consumer product manufacturing, postal and parcel markets. It tripled its size in May of 2009, when it acquired competitor FKI Logistex. In addition to the company’s headquarters in Mason, Intelligrated has additional Ohio-based operations including manufacturing plants in West Chester and London, and a parts distribution facility in Hamilton, OH.

“A regional win like this one speaks volumes about the strength of local, regional and state partnerships, as well as the attractiveness of Cincinnati for innovation in engineering,” said Dave Dougherty, interim executive director of the Cincinnati USA Partnership, the economic development arm of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. “We’re happy to see this plan come to fruition for Intelligrated, Mason and the State of Ohio.”
