MASON HOLIDAY CHANGES

City of Mason offices will be closed on Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2. Trash collection will not be affected by the closing. Monday customers should expect pickup on Monday.

Mason Community Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. On Sunday, December 25, the fitness center, gymnasium, track, and locker rooms at Mason Community Center will be open from noon to 4 p.m.  On Sunday, January 1, New Year’s Day, the center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A holiday group exercise schedule is available. There will be no group exercise classes on December 25. On January 1, try The Ride at 9 a.m. or Power Yoga at 9:45 a.m.  A new group exercise schedule begins on January 2, 2012.

The Mason City Council meeting scheduled for December 26, 2011, has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting is at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012.

Brush pickup, including Christmas trees, will begin the week of Monday, January 9. Please remove all decorations from the tree and place it at the curb with the cut end toward the street. Tree pickup may be delayed if it snows.
