Mason, Ohio – A Photographic History

The book includes over 400 photos and artifact images amassed from the Mason Historical Society’s archives, as well as private collections, and many are published here for the first time. This chronicle illustrates the distinctive story of Mason’s fascinating history during the last 200 years. Available in soft cover for $30 and a limited supply hard cover for $50.

Around Mason, Ohio: A Story is now available!

Around Mason, Ohio: A Story by Rose Marie Springman has been updated and reprinted in a beautiful new Bicentennial Edition. The story begins towards the end of the 18th century and ends with highlights through 2013. Available in hard cover for $50.

Collectible Coins

Mason Historical Society has casted 10 collectible coins to commemorate the Mason Bicentennial. The first coin featuring the Mason Historical Society and Bicentennial logo is available now for $10! Additional coins will be released throughout this Bicentennial year for $6. Collect the entire set.

Mason Monopoly

Available at select Mason retail establishments.

The Mason Monopoly “Bicentennial Edition” is available at Symbiosis in Mason Community Center. This classic family game has a Mason spin and features local businesses and community organizations that you will recognize – making playing it even more fun! Proceeds of the sale of the game boards will benefit Mason’s anticipated new all-inclusive playground, Common Ground.

The Limited Edition Bicentennial Monopoly will be $30 each. They make great gifts for Christmas, birthdays, graduations, employees, new and long-time Mason residents, and even previous Mason residents.


Bicentennial Committee and Volunteers


 The Bicentennial Committee is a group of volunteers who are creating a community celebration for Mason’s 200th birthday. If you can help, please leave a message for the committee at 513.229.8508 or A volunteer application form can be found near the top of this page. Proceeds from city-endorsed bicentennial activities will be used to benefit the Common Ground playground, an inclusive playground designed to encourage children and adults of all levels and abilities to play together.
