Ken Heis

Ken has coached the Mason Manta Rays since the team’s inception and currently serves on the USA Swimming Central Zone Senior Sectional committee. Prior to coaching the Manta Rays, he was an assistant coach at Clemson University and head coach of the Anderson Swim Team in Anderson, South Carolina. He later became head coach at Aiken-Augusta Swim League in Augusta, Georgia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kenyon College.

Ken has coached multiple Olympic Trial Qualifiers, Ohio High School State Champions, Sectional Champions, and Top 16 swimmers.

As a swimmer, Ken was a three-time Ohio High School State qualifier (Turpin High School), a 22-time All-American, Olympic Trials qualifier, D-III National Record Holder, and 16-time National Champion.

Todd Billhimer

Todd earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northern Kentucky University. He is a member of Ohio Swimming's Age Group Committee and also serves as camps coordinator for that organization.

Prior to coaching the Mason Manta Rays, Todd served as an assistant coach, and eventually head age group coach, for the Milford Area Swim Team. As head coach, he helped build the team from 60 to 125 members, with several swimmers advancing to National Top 16 rankings. Todd later became head coach and aquatics supervisor at the Clermont YMCA. While there, Todd coached Ohio High School State Qualifiers and Top 8 finishers, as well as YMCA National Qualifiers and Top 8 finishers. He also coached his first High School All-American while at the YMCA.

In 2000, Todd took the assistant head coach position with the Northern Kentucky Clippers. There, he worked with swimmers 13 years and older with a focus on distance swimmers. While with the Clippers, Todd coached Ohio and Kentucky High School State Qualifiers and Champions, numerous Top 16 swimmers, Ohio Age Group State Champions, Sectional Champions, and Senior National Qualifiers.

Yonce Daniels

Gymnastics and Cheer Coach

Yonce has trained gymnasts from pre-school to an elite level and coached several gymnasts to state, regional, and national competitions. Yonce toured professionally with Olympic gymnast Kurt Thomas for more than five years.

Kara Caudell

Kara has coached gymnastics since 2005. She began participating in gymnastics at the age of 6 and competed as a Level 9 gymnast. Kara competed for a private club, for Lakota East High School, and for Xavier University. Her certifications include USAG Professional Member and USAG Safety Certification.

 

Mardi Dagley

Mardi has over 10 years of coaching experience. She has coached preschool and team classes and is the current co-head coach for Lakota East High School, where she has coached many district champions and state qualifiers. She is a two-time District Gymnastics Coach of the Year. Mardi is also a NAWGJ/USAG gymnastics judge. Her certifications include USAG Safety Certification and Ohio High School Athletic Association Certified Coach.

 

Margi Sammons

Margi has coached gymnastics since 1997. She is a certified NAWGJ/USAG Level 10 gymnastics judge. She is the co-head coach of the Lakota East Varsity Gymnastics team where she is a two-time Southwest District Coach of the Year. She has coached numerous High School State individual and team qualifiers since 2000. Margi's certifications include USAG Safety certification, NAWGJ Level 10-5/6 Judge, and Ohio High School Athletic Association Certified Coach.
