Chrissy started teaching group exercise in 2003 and came to Mason Community Center in 2006. She helps participants build long, lean muscles and a toned, strong physique fast with two programs, BODYPUMP™ and GRIT™. BODYPUMP is a group resistance training class utilizing adjustable barbells and GRIT is high-intensity interval training.

Christine received her 200-hour RYT teacher certification in Ashtanga through Yoga Ah in July of 2015. Her love of yoga began in a small studio in San Francisco in 2008. As an occupational therapist and physically active, Christine quickly saw that yoga is a holistic way of linking breath with movement and learning how to be more attuned to the body. Christine enjoys teaching a strong, vigorous flow. Her goal is to keep class fun and challenging, while focusing on alignment and keeping the core strong to help build strength, flexibility and endurance so her students can enjoy a lifetime of yoga.

Karoll has been a Certified Spinning Instructor through Mad Dogg since January 2013. She has been a Group Exercise instructor at Mason Community Center since June 2013.

Karoll attended the nursing school at Miami University in Florida for four years. She is passionate about the importance of staying healthy and active and strives to make her family and everybody around her achieve that goal.

Julie has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Human & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in dietetics. She spent over 10 years in the pharmaceutical & clinical research industries. After 4 years as a stay-at-home Mom and dedicated fitness enthusiast, she decided to launch a new career and pursue her passion for fitness and exercise. She became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in 2015. Julie’s goal is to motivate her clients to make health and fitness a lifestyle choice. She is excited to leverage her years of dedication to fitness, along with her personal training certification, to help Mason Community Center members reach their fitness goals.

Sarah has been a Group Exercise Instructor since 2009 and has been teaching a variety of classes at Mason Community Center since 2013. She obtained her personal training certification in 2014. Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Art Education at the University of Cincinnati. She has recently become an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor and an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer. She is excited about continuing her career in fitness with Mason Community Center. She is passionate about helping people and strives to create challenging yet encouraging fitness classes as well as individual workouts. Kimberly has worked in fitness for over 15 years, including personal training, cycling, and water aerobics. She has been teaching at Mason Community Center since it opened in 2003. She currently teaches Deep Water Cardio & Core and Water Fit classes. She also does personal training on land and in the water.

Kimberly has a BA in Psychology from Wittenberg University, A BA in Movement and Sport Science from Purdue University, and an MS in Sport Behavior & Performance and Sport Organization from Miami University. Kimberly was a collegiate swimmer who still enjoys swimming laps. Currently accepting new personal training clients.

Lainie has a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Health Relations and Cultural Leadership. She has competed in the World Choir Games with Yoga Dance. Lainie is passionate about yoga and strives to bring peace, connection, and comfort to all her classes. She wants every participant to create a practice to fulfill their needs.

Heather has competed in various running races including two half marathons and the 2012 Bourbon Chase. She is passionate about fitness and strives to bring new ideas and education to all her classes. Ryan graduated from Wilmington College in 2007 with Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He has been a full time employee for the United States Department of Agriculture since 2008. Ryan has always been very active in keeping up on his own fitness and decided in 2014 to get his personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He began his personal training career in 2014 training young clients to middle aged and small groups as well. In his free time, Ryan enjoys working on his family farm, playing sports, and spending time with his wife and family. Currently accepting new personal training clients.

Michelle has been in the fitness industry since 2011 when she began working at the Mason Community Center. She teaches a variety of classes and trains clients of various ages and fitness abilities. Her passion for fitness, health and wellness carries over into her personal training and group exercise classes. In addition to teaching the exercises, Michelle tries to learn about the total person so she can tailor their workouts and educate them about healthful eating practices. Jackie joined the Mason Community Center group exercise team in September 2003. Although she enjoys teaching a variety of group exercise classes, her passion is Zumba Fitness. Zumba Fitness is a Latin-inspired dance party where people burn calories and get fit while having fun! Jackie has been teaching Zumba Fitness at Mason since 2007 and has brought two other Zumba programs to the community center: Aqua Zumba and Zumba Gold. Jackie completed a half marathon in 2007 and the Warrior Dash in 2011.

Michele started as a member of Mason Community Center in 2010, was hired as a Group Exercise Instructor in 2011, and became the Group Exercise Coordinator in 2012. She teaches a variety of group exercise formats in addition to coordinating programs. Michele has been dancing since the age of three and has danced on a competition dance team most of her life. She has even danced at the famed Florida Orange Bowl. Her love of dance has transformed into a love for fitness. Michele strives to motivate everyone in her classes through fun and high energy.

Jared has over 20 years’ experience in athletics. He played basketball beginning in elementary school and throughout high school, as well as coaching upon graduation. Jared decided he wanted to improve his physique and decided to start lifting weights and boxing. From there he expanded into kickboxing, mixed martial arts, and jiu jitsu.
