Tips for Achieving the Best Success in Your Class:

  • Pick up a studio card at the member services desk (at the turnstiles) when you arrive for class. Some classes require special equipment and the cards help ensure that there will be enough for everyone who has checked in.
  • Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before class begins. This will allow time to check in and set up the equipment you will need. It also helps assure that you get a spot in the more popular classes.
  • Please do not set up for friends or other participants who have not already checked in. This will help avoid empty slots for last-minute no-shows and allow participants who have checked in an equal opportunity to find their ideal set-up in studio.

Body & Cardio

Tabata Training: This class features intervals of the Tabata method of exercise. Each interval will consist of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of all-out max effort followed by 10 seconds of rest. This class can be a combination of cardiovascular and strength exercises, strength only, or cardiovascular only. All levels welcome.

Tabata Xpress: This 30 minutes class features intervals of the Tabata method of exercise. Each interval will consist of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of all-out max effort followed by 10 seconds of rest. This class can be a combination of cardiovascular and strength exercises, strength only, or cardiovascular only. All levels welcome.

Bring It!: Take your fitness to the next level with this high energy and high impact workout. This class utilizes various areas of the facility for heart-pumping cardio drills, plyometrics, calisthenics, strength training and running to burn fat and calories. Advanced.

Cycling Intervals: Combine the cardio of cycling with strength training on and off the bicycle in a heart-pumping workout. All levels welcome.

The Ride: Vary your intensity level by using your bicycle’s resistance knob. This class offers a great cardio workout that really challenges your lower body. All levels welcome.

Cardio, Kick & Core: Cardio kickboxing is a non-contact workout in an energizing environment. It incorporates kicks, jabs, hooks and uppercut combinations to improve overall agility and power. The class also features various cardio and strength drills and ends with core work. All levels welcome.

Cycle with Stretch: This is a vigorous 60 minute cycle class that is followed by 15 minutes of deep stretches and yoga postures to help repair your muscles after the workout. All levels welcome..

Family Circuit: A family that exercises together, stays together! Keep your workout changing with this 60 minute circuit class that is designed just for families. All levels welcome, ages 6 and up.

Body & Dance

SH’BAM®: This 45-minute class is a unique aerobic workout that features featuring 12 tracks of popular hits and simple but seriously hot dance moves. SH'BAM® is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star -- even if you're dance challenged. All levels welcome.

Zumba®: This fusion of Latin and international music uses dance to creates a dynamic, exciting, and effective workout. All levels welcome.

Body & Mind

Yoga Kids: These Hatha yoga classes will use body postures, breathing, and meditation to create balanced bodies and minds. With more 200 hatha yoga postures and hundreds of variations our instructors will create a unique experience in each class. Ages 6-12. All levels welcome.

Hatha Yoga: Learn the foundations of yoga with this class. Throughout the practice you will be guided through a series of basic poses allowing you work at your own level to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Hatha Yoga is good for new students as well as those seeking to gain a deeper understanding of the yoga practice. All levels welcome.

Vinyasa Yoga: Connect with the breath during this dynamic yoga practice. Throughout this class you will flow through a series of postures to increase strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. Vinyasa Yoga is good for physically active students who are looking to incorporate yoga into their regular fitness regimen. All levels welcome.

Power Yoga: Take your yoga practice to the next level with this fast paced class. Throughout the class you will move quickly through a series of postures that will be sure to make you sweat as well as build strength, flexibility, and focus. Power Yoga is good for experienced yogis or active individuals looking for a challenge. Intermediate to Advanced.

Relaxation Yoga: Explore basic yoga postures and meditation by connecting breathing, alignment, and mindfulness. You will build flexibility while relaxing and enjoying each pose at a slower pace. This class is a great way to unwind and let go of the day’s stress. All levels welcome.

Yin Yoga: In this class we will lengthen your muscles and target the connective tissues, such as ligaments and fascia. The practice of Yin Yoga will help keep your muscles supple which may help prevent injury. It also restores your energy and calms the nervous system. The meditative nature of this class perfectly complements more active exercising like power yoga, cycling, and strength training. You will leave feeling refreshed, renewed and restored. All levels welcome. *Recommend bringing a small blanket and/or pillow to class.

Yoga 30: Practice the foundations of yoga with this 30 minute class. You will be guided through a series of basic poses allowing you work at your own level to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness. This class is great for everyone; especially those who are short on time or need additional stretching after a workout. All levels welcome.

Pilates: This class provides a series of non-impact exercises to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and inner awareness. This exercise system focus is to build strength without bulk, improve agility, and help to prevent injury. All levels welcome.

Rocket Yoga: Combine key poses to create a twisting, back bending, arm balancing, perception-altering ride. This energetic practice is designed to work with the nervous system, build strength in both the body and mind, lift your energy and create a transformative practice to make you feel more alive. Students are encouraged to make modifications of the postures according to their level of practice and physical abilities. This practice is suitable for students with previous Vinyasa experience.

Body & Strength

Barre: This is a challenging and unique workout designed to sculpt and strengthen your entire body as well as increase flexibility. Use the barre, your own body weight, along with light free weights to define and tone your body. The exercises featured in this class will help you develop greater definition in your arms and shoulders as well as tone your abs and lower half. All levels welcome.

BODYPUMP™: BODYPUMP is the original barbell class that shapes, tones, and strengthens your entire body. The key to BODYPUMP is THE REP EFFECT™, a breakthrough in fitness training focusing on high repetition movements with low weight loads. This will help you achieve strength and introduce lean body muscle conditioning! All levels welcome.

BODYPUMP™ Xpress: Enjoy a 45 minute express class of the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. The key to BODYPUMP is THE REP EFFECT™, a breakthrough in fitness training focusing on high repetition movements with low weight loads. This will help you achieve strength and introduce lean body muscle conditioning!All levels welcome.

Core Worx: The perfect workout for those looking to tone their mid-section with a quick 30 minute core workout. All levels welcome.

Power TRX®: Combine TRX training with power moves like squat jumps. This mix of gravity resistance and movement provides the ultimate workout to increase strength, endurance, balance, coordination, flexibility, power and core stability. Power TRX aims to push your limits in this high-intensity workout done primarily on the TRX frame. All levels welcome.

Xpress TRX®: The perfect workout for those looking to experience a quick 30 minute total body workout using the TRX Suspension Training. All levels welcome.

XtremeTRX®: The perfect workout for those looking to experience a 45 minute total body workout using the TRX Suspension Training. All levels welcome.

TRX® Circuit: Hang in there and get a focused strength, endurance, and agility circuit style workout using the TRX Suspension Training. This class will utilize different stations on and away from the TRX frame to keep the workout fast-paced and challenging. All levels welcome.

TRX® & Pilates: Hang in there and get focused on strength, endurance, and agility for 30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of non-impact exercises to develop strength, flexibility, balance, and inner awareness. This exercise system focus is to build strength without bulk, improve agility, and help to prevent injury. All levels welcome.

TRX® Boot Camp: Take your TRX training to the next level with this total body challenge. This workout includes body weight strength training with TRX Suspension and is coupled with cardio and endurance intervals. Intermediate to Advanced.

Body & Water

Cardio Water Fit: This medium intensity, shallow water class incorporates cardio and choreographed movements to improve balance, coordination, flexibility, and range of motion. Equipment is used to improve strength. Swimming ability is not required. All levels welcome.

Deep Water Workout: This medium to high intensity, deep water class challenges the core muscles and provides an effective cardio workout without the stress to your joints. Belts are worn in this class for neutral buoyancy. Swimming ability is not required, but participants should feel comfortable in deep water. All levels welcome.

Water Tabata: This class features intervals of the Tabata method of exercise in shallow water. Each interval will consist of 8 rounds of 20 seconds of all-out max effort followed by 10 seconds of rest. This class will combine cardiovascular and strength exercises by using the resistance of the water for a high energy workout. All levels welcome. No swimming experience needed.

Deep Water Workout & Fins: Combine 40 minutes of deep water exercises followed by 20 minutes of finning in this medium to high intensity, deep water class. Challenge the core muscles and provide an effective cardio workout without the stress to your joints. Belts are worn in this class for neutral buoyancy. Swimming ability is not required, but participants should feel comfortable in deep water. All levels welcome.

Older Adult Classes

Forever Fit / Walking Club: Enjoy the outdoors in this 30-45 minute low to moderate intensity walk. Participants will meet their guide in front of the Senior Center before walking through Pine Hills and Corwin Nixon Park. Closed toe walking shoes are suggested. Ages 55 and up. All levels welcome. Ages 55 and up.

Tai Chi: The style of Tai Chi Chuan emphasizes soft and slow movements which embrace lower body strength, thus improving balance and stability. Among other benefits, it also releases stress, improves circulation and lowers blood pressure. All levels welcome. Ages 55 and up.

Forever Fit / Yoga: Created for older adults, this class features yoga postures, breathing techniques, and chairs to help balance. Ages 55 and up. All levels welcome.

Forever Fit Intervals / Mat: Created for older adults, this class features strength training and movements in a fun group setting using weights, resistance bands, mats, and chairs to help balance. This class will end with mat work on the floor. Ages 55 and up. All levels welcome.

Forever Fit / Water: Created for older adults, the participants are led through a series of exercises designed to increase range of motion, flexibility, and strength. Moderate aerobic exercises are added to the class to slowly increase cardiovascular fitness. Ages 55 and up. All levels welcome.

Forever Fit / Pilates: Improve balance and posture as you strengthen core muscles through controlled movements that increase stability and functional movement. Ages 55 and up. All levels welcome.

Forever Fit / Zumba Gold® A fusion of Latin and international music uses modified dance moves to make routine easy to follow for older adults and beginners. Ages 55 and up. Beginner to intermediate. All levels welcome.

Forever Fit / Move it! : This class increases your cardiovascular level and strengthens the body by using techniques that emphasize balance, abdominal strength and muscle control. Body bars, stability balls, and medicine balls will be used. Ages 55 and up. All levels welcome..

A SilverSneakers® membership is required to participate in the following. Please inquire at Member Services about this membership option.

SilverSneakers® Classic: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Ages 65 and up. All levels welcome.

SilverSneakers® Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises. Ages 65 and up. All levels welcome.

Programs

Starter Cycle: This is an introductory class for the first time cyclist. The class starts with the instructor teaching the group how to properly begin class including tips on footwear, bike set up, and water intake. Throughout the remainder of class you’ll be guided through all the various climbs, jumps, and cadence speeds that are featured in our regular drop in group exercise classes. You will walk out of the class with a better understanding about resistance, hand/body positions, and heart rate so that you are ready to begin taking “The Ride” with the regular cyclists. Although, the class geared to the first time rider; it is a great educational experience and workout for everyone. Start with the basics so you’ll be sure to build your strength and endurance the safe and effective way. Registration is required. Drop in rates apply.

Starter TRX®: This introductory class is designed to prepare you for our regularly scheduled TRX classes. Class begins with foundational exercises using the suspension straps. You will be instructed on proper form so that your major muscle groups are challenged. The class is a great educational experience and workout for everyone because of the focus on correct form, safety, and strength training. This program will also feature cardio, flexibility and balance elements which you will experience in the drop-in group exercise TRX classes. Registration is required. Drop in rates apply.

GRIT™: Take your fitness to the next level! GRIT is a 30 minute high intensity interval training program that that takes your energy levels into overdrive to go hard, push harder, and get super-fit, super-fast. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is the hottest fitness trend and scientifically proven to provide better results than any other type of training.
