NOTICE OF PUBLIC INPUT MEETING: STATE ROUTE 741/PARKSIDE DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Mason, in cooperation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), will conduct a Public Input Meeting to provide the public with the opportunity to view preliminary plans for the State Route 741/Parkside Drive project. The meeting will be held on May 9, 2018 between 4:00 and 7:00 PM at the City of Mason Municipal Center, 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.

The proposed improvements include:

  • The realignment and widening of State Route 741 between Kings Mills Road/Parkside Drive intersection and Cox-Smith Road intersection.
  • The realignment of the Kings Mills Road including a tie-in of Parkside Drive, pavement replacement, new curbs, sidewalks, shared use path, lighting and drainage improvements.

The proposed project is anticipated to be constructed beginning in 2020.

The public meeting will be in a casual, open house format with informative displays about the project. No formal presentation will be given and the public is welcome to come anytime to view project information. Design consultants, along with representatives of the City of Mason and ODOT will be available to answer questions and discuss the proposed improvements.  Comment forms will be provided for those wishing to leave written comments.

Direct notification of this public meeting is being sent to property owners and adjacent property owners in the immediate project area. Notices for this public meeting also will be placed on the City of Mason’s website – imaginemason.org. If you are unable to attend the meeting, the meeting materials and comment forms will be available on the website after the meeting.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
