mason utility bill adjustments


Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work with Greater Cincinnati Water Works to deliver a high level of service to Mason residents.
Beginning January 1, 2018, both Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) and the City implemented cost-of-living increases to water, sewer and stormwater fees in Mason. These modest increases are needed to cover the overall costs for providing these utility services. Many years ago, Mason implemented cost of living increases to utility rates to lessen the impact of future rate increases for these utilities. January utility bills will reflect a 1.5% cost of living increase for sewer and stormwater rates and GCWW’s 3.75% increase to water rates.

In addition, GCWW is changing the meter reading date for Mason residents. January’s utility bill will include an additional 12 to 13 days of usage creating a higher than normal monthly utility bill. February’s bill and future monthly bills should be more reflective of historical usage.
