Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, December 6
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Mason Downtown Plaza

On Friday, December 6 join the community in celebrating the beginning of the Christmas in Mason season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Mason Downtown Plaza. This event is free and open to the public to enjoy!

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason Downtown Plaza! Join your neighbors for Holiday music, activities and crafts, FREE photos with Santa, food and refreshments, adult beverages provided by the American Legion, ice-less skating, trackless train rides, live nativity animals, and best of all, the official lighting of the Christmas tree! Prior to the event, be sure to stop at the Mason Public Library at 6:00 p.m. for their Holiday story time. Details regarding the Library’s event can be found below.

Interested in promoting your business at the Tree Lighting Ceremony?  Local businesses are encouraged to take advantage of a free promotional opportunity at this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. Mason businesses are welcome to participate as an exhibitor or vendor at the event for FREE!

If participating as a vendor or exhibitor is not the right fit for your business, we encourage you to share a promotional item or treat to fill stockings that will be handed out to patrons throughout the entire Tree Lighting Ceremony. Road Closures

For safety reasons, West Main Street from the intersection of US Route 42 to North Forest Avenue and North West Street from the intersection of US Route 42 to Church Street will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 6 until the conclusion of the event. Detours will be provided. Please use caution and allow for additional time when traveling through this area.

Mason Public Library Story Time
Friday, December 6
6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Mason Public Library

Prior to the activities beginning on the Downtown Plaza, meet inside the Mason Public Library at 6 p.m. for Holiday Storytime! Children and adults of all ages are welcome to join the Library in a 30-minute story time sing along of Holiday classics such as Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and more! Registration is not required and participation is free.

Mason Historical Society Open House
Friday, December 6
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Alverta Green Museum

Don’t forget to make your way to 207 W. Church Street to check out the Mason Historical Society’s Alverta Green Museum! The Mason Historical Society will be hosting a Holiday open house from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. as part of the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Breakfast with Santa
Sunday, December 8
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Mason Golf Center CourseView Pavilion

Join us for a special breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Participants can take advantage of a personal visit and photo opportunity with Santa while enjoying breakfast provided by CourseView Restaurant as well as a Holiday activity. Also while at the Golf Center, enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride through the Golf Course, and sing along with Christmas Carolers!

Kids Korner Holiday Crafts
Saturday, December 14
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Mason Community Center

Come celebrate the Holiday season with the City of Mason with a festive craft at the Mason Community Center! On Saturday, December 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Kids Korner will be offering free holiday crafts for all. The holiday fun does not stop there – stick around as Santa stops by the Mason Community Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.! The event is free and open for the public to enjoy.

Santa in your Neighborhood
Saturday, December 14
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Santa is making one last stop in Mason, Ohio before he heads back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas! Join us on Saturday, December 14 as Santa makes his way around the Mason community from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
