Mason Tree Lighting Ceremony

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Mason Downtown Plaza

On Friday, December 7 join the community in celebrating the beginning of the Christmas in Mason season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Mason’s Downtown Plaza. This event is free and open to the public to enjoy!

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason Downtown Plaza! Join your neighbors for Holiday music, activities and crafts, FREE photos with Santa, food and refreshments, adult beverages provided by the American Legion, ice-less skating, trackless train rides, a live nativity, and best of all the official lighting of the Christmas tree!

The Tree Lighting Ceremony is also the kickoff to the newly established Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area in Downtown Mason. Stop in to your favorite serving establishment in the DORA district to enjoy an adult beverage then head to the Downtown Plaza for Holiday fun! Interested in promoting your business at the Tree Lighting Ceremony? The City of Mason in partnership with the MADE Chamber is bringing back Stocking Stops! Whether you set up a booth or have an existing storefront, we encourage businesses to get involved and provide a holiday treat or giveaway to fill event participant’s stockings throughout the event! Road Closures

For safety reasons, West Main Street from the intersection of US Route 42 to North Forest Avenue and North West Street from the intersection of US Route 42 to Church Street will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 7 until the conclusion of the event. Detours will be provided. Please use caution and allow for additional time when traveling through this area.

Mason Public Library

Prior to the activities beginning on the plaza, join the Mason Public Library at 6 p.m. for Holiday Storytime! Children and adults of all ages are welcome to join the Library in a story time sing along to all of the Holiday classics such as Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and more! Registration is not required and participation is free.

Mason Historical Society Open House

Alverta Green Museum

Don’t forget to make your way to 207 W. Church Street to check out the Mason Historical Society’s Alverta Green Museum! The Mason Historical Society will be hosting a Holiday open house from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Breakfast With Santa

Mason Golf Center CourseView Pavilion

Join us for a special breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Participants get a private visit and photo opportunity with Santa while enjoying breakfast and a holiday activity.  Also while at the Golf Center enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride through the Golf Course, and sing along with Christmas Carolers!

A Personal Letter from Santa

Let us help you make memories this Christmas season by receiving a personal letter from Santa. Parents and guardians interested in having their child receive a letter, please complete the below form and return to:

Christmas Movie Night

Mason High School Auditorium

Come celebrate the Holiday season with the City of Mason with a Christmas Movie Night on Friday, December 14 at the Mason High School Auditorium. This event is free and open for the public to enjoy.

The public is invited to join us at 6:30 p.m. for a free viewing of Jack Frost! Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite Christmas pajamas!

Enjoy a free refreshments and cookies after the show.

Santa in Your Neighborhood

9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Santa is making one last stop in Mason, Ohio before he heads back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas! Join us on Saturday, December 15 as Santa makes his way around the Mason community from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
