Many visitors to Mason Community Center know Chrissy through her work at the center. She began her career with the City of Mason in 2006 as a Program Supervisor following completion of her Master’s Degree at Michigan State University. She was promoted to Recreation Manager in 2010 and to Director in 2014. She is a certified Park and Recreation Professional from the National Park and Recreation Association.
Chrissy has been instrumental in increasing programming opportunities at Mason Community Center and throughout the city. Her role in the daily operations of the center has been significant to its overall financial success, including developing partnerships with local businesses to build programming. She has overseen large city events and served on the board of Festivals of Mason.
As Parks & Recreation Director, Chrissy oversees the operations of Mason Community Center and park events.
Frank supervises youth and adult recreational sports programs for the City of Mason. Frank graduated from the University of Alabama, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Sport Management. Prior to joining the City of Mason, he was an Athletic Director and Program Supervisor for the Tuscaloosa Park and Recreation Authority in Alabama, where he worked since 2008, supervising various youth and adult athletic programs.
Dan supervises community outreach for the City of Mason. Dan graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration. Prior to joining the City of Mason, he assisted in running events and promotions for the Cincinnati Reds. Most recently, he was a Customer Service Coordinator for Miami University where he supervised food and beverage for athletic events.
Dana supervises membership services; the customer service desk; the Mason store and post office; and the senior center.
Dana graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Services. Prior to joining the Mason Community Center, she served as recreation and front desk supervisor for the TriHealth Pavilion in Blue Ash, Ohio, where she was responsible for overseeing youth, adult, and senior programs.
Sarah supervises enrichment programming for the City of Mason. Sarah earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Xavier University. Prior to working for the City of Mason, Sarah served as a teacher, Assistant Director and Business Manager in a child care setting. Programs under Sarah’s supervision include Summer Camps, youth enrichment programs and SwimAmerica.
Amy Jo oversees membership sales and marketing, the customer service center, the sym•bi•o•sis store and postal unit, the senior center and Kid’s Korner.
Amy Jo attended Miami University and has a wide range of experience in retail sales and marketing. Prior to joining Mason Community Center, she was a Senior Buyer for Berean Christian Stores, where she directed the gift, jewelry, apparel, and card departments for the chain of 18 stores in 7 states. Her experience also includes work as a southwestern Ohio sales representative in the gift industry and as a consultant to a variety of businesses to assist with their marketing and operations efforts.
Michele supervises Fitness and Wellness for the City of Mason. She began as a Group Exercise Instructor in 2011 and continued her Community Center career as Fitness and Health Coordinator in 2012 before becoming Program Supervisor. Michele manages Community Center fitness programming and events, Personal Training, Group Exercise and the state-of-the art Fitness Center.
