Join the Mason community and individuals from across the nation for National Wear Red Day ® on Friday, February 7. National Wear Red Day is the icon day of American Heart Month. Join us as we wear red and help raise awareness of men and women’s No. 1 killer – cardiovascular disease. Statistics indicate that one in three women will lose their life to cardiovascular disease, and men tend to develop cardiovascular disease 10 years earlier than women. Wearing red as part of National Go Red Day helps us come together and raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and stroke. For more information, please visit goredforwomen.org.

Physical inactivity can increase your risk of cardiovascular disease. As part of Mason’s commitment to community wellness and in support of Heart Health Literacy Month in Mason we encourage Community Center members to participate in Go Red Day and bring a guest for FREE on Friday, February 7. Guests are encouraged to wear red too! Mason Community Center is at the heart of the City’s mission of building a culture of wellness and is a state-of-the-art amenity that offers a variety of programing, activities, education and resources aimed at building a healthier and stronger community.
