Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, December 6
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Mason Downtown Plaza

On Friday, December 6, celebrate the beginning of the Holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Mason Downtown Plaza. This event is free and open to the public to enjoy!

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason Downtown Plaza! Join your neighbors for holiday music, activities, FREE photos with Santa, food and refreshments, adult beverages provided by the American Legion, ornament crafts, ice-less skating, a mechanical snowboard, gingerbread playland and obstacle course, and best of all, the official lighting of the tree! Be sure to visit the official countdown clock on the Downtown Plaza as the City counts down the days, hours and seconds until the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony!

New this year, the City is partnering with MADE CDC to add a new feature to the event that includes parading Santa and other Holiday themed characters from East Main Street to the Plaza to kick off the event. Santa will leave Heritage Oak Park at 6:15 p.m. to arrive at the Plaza in time for the Tree Lighting.

Interested in promoting your business at the Tree Lighting Ceremony?  Mason businesses are encouraged to take advantage of a free promotional opportunity at this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. Mason businesses are welcome to participate as an exhibitor or vendor at the event for FREE! Contact [email protected] for more information on how to participate in the 2024 Tree Lighting Ceremony.
