
Mark your calendars! The 2025 Heritage Festival and Parade will take place on Saturday, September 20 in Downtown Mason! The event will feature kids’ activities, vendors, cultural displays, music entertainment, and more. The annual Heritage Festival Parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by activities and entertainment throughout Downtown Mason until 10:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and is a great opportunity for Mason to come together and celebrate the rich identities within the community.

The annual Heritage Festival Parade will kick off the day’s activities beginning at 3:00 p.m. The parade will begin at the corner of Foxfield Drive and Mason-Montgomery Road, just north of the Mason Municipal Center. The parade will then head north on Mason-Montgomery Road and continue west onto West Main Street towards the Downtown Plaza, concluding on Reading Road near 4th Avenue. The community is encouraged to watch the parade near the Downtown Plaza to enjoy short performances by parade participants.
Organizations and groups are encouraged to help celebrate the rich heritage here in Mason by participating in the 2025 Heritage Festival Parade! For 2025 parade participation registration, non-profit participants can register here and for-profit participants can register here. Applications to participate in the parade will be accepted through Monday, September 8.

Immediately following the parade, the festival will begin at 4:00 p.m. in Downtown Mason. Participants can stroll along West Main Street and enjoy live music, food vendors, exhibitors and kids’ activities throughout the evening until 10:00 p.m. This year’s entertainment schedule includes music by Mason’s School of Rock at 4:30 p.m., River City Band at 6:00 p.m., followed by a performance by Sly Band at 8:00 p.m. The event will conclude with a drone show immediately following Sly Band’s performance at approximately 10 p.m. The community is encouraged to come together for an evening of fun, entertainment and community connection!

Once your application has been received, food vendor applicants will receive a follow-up confirmation upon review of their application. While the City will make every effort to accommodate interested organizations within the limited event space, priority will be given to Mason-based businesses and businesses that offer unique menu items that do not directly compete with existing Downtown Mason establishments. Applications will be accepted through Monday, September 8.

Once your application has been received, non-food vendor applicants will receive a follow-up confirmation upon review of their application. While the City will make every effort to accommodate interested organizations within the limited event space, priority will be given to Mason-based businesses/organizations and vendors that feature unique offerings that do not directly compete with existing Downtown Mason establishments. Applications will be accepted through Monday, September 8.

For the safety of event participants, various road closures will take place throughout the day on Saturday, September 20. Beginning at 12:00 p.m., Foxfield Drive from Mason-Montgomery Road to the east side of the Mason Community Center parking lot will be closed for parade staging and assembly. Foxfield Drive is anticipated to reopen at the conclusion of the parade at 4:00 p.m.
West Main Street from Reading Road to N. Forest/S. Forest Avenue and N. West Street from West Main Street to W. Church Street will be closed beginning at 12:00 p.m. for event staging and assembly for the duration of the parade and festival. It is anticipated that the road will reopen by midnight.
Mason-Montgomery Road from Foxfield Drive to Main Street will close at 2:45 p.m. for the duration of the parade. It is anticipated that Foxfield Drive and Mason-Montgomery Road will reopen by 4:00 p.m.
West Main Street from N. East/S. East Street to 2nd Avenue will be closed beginning at 2:45 p.m. for the duration of the parade and festival. It is anticipated that the road will reopen by midnight.
Detour signs will be posted prior to the parade and festival. Electronic message boards will also be utilized advising of the event and road closures. Thank you for the community’s patience as we aim to deliver a safe event.

Parking will be available for parade staging participants at Mason Community Center’s parking lots. At the conclusion of the parade, the City will be offering complimentary shuttles to and from 2nd Avenue, near Peoples First Savings Bank, to Mason Community Center. Community members attending the festival are encouraged to park at Mason Community Center, Mason Municipal Aquatic Center, or Corwin M. Nixon Park and take the complimentary shuttle to the event site. A shuttle will continuously run through the duration of the event.
City of Mason Facility Operations
Due to the extent of activities taking place on the Mason Municipal and Community Center Campus Mason Community Center will be open with modified hours from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 20. Mason Municipal Aquatic Center will be closed on Saturday, September 20 and will reopen with normal operating hours on Sunday, September 21.
