Part-Time Employment Opportunities at the Mason Community Center

    • Program Coordinator – Fitness & Health
      Hiring Range: $14.17 – $17.19 per hour
      The Program Coordinator position is responsible for developing, marketing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating programs with the City of Mason’s Parks and Recreation Department. This position will be assigned to the Group Exercise Program, Fitness Floor and Personal Training areas. Must have current Group Exercise and/or Personal Training certification(s). Minimum of 25 hours per week. Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including evening, weekend, and holidays.
    • Fitness Floor Attendant
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsibilities include monitoring the Mason Community Center Fitness Floor, maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, reporting maintenance or repairs, giving equipment orientations, and laundry/towel services. Must be willing to work a variety of early morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Minimum of 15-20 hours per week.
    • Manta Rays Swim Coach
      Hiring Range: $10.71 – $13.39 per hour
      Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach with the execution of swim practice, swim meets, and other team needs.
    • Customer Service Representative
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsibilities include admission and assistance of all customer service needs and requests. Must work a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts. Minimum of 15 hours per week.
    • Café Specialist
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsible for preparing and serving of food while providing quality customer service to guests visiting the facility. Must work a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts. Minimum of 15 hours per week.
    • Personal Trainer
      Hiring Range: Minimum requirement 3 clients per week: $17.61 – $21.42 per hour; 7 or more per week: $19.91 – $23.72 per hour
      Under minimal supervision, independently interprets and evaluates need; and plans, implements, and leads integrated individualized exercise/activity programs for clients at all levels and with a broad range of fitness, rehabilitation, and/or other specialized requirements. Certification required. Example: (ACE, AFAA, ACSM).
    • Group Exercise Instructors
      Hiring Range: Minimum requirement 3 classes per week: $17.61 – $21.42 per hour 7 or more per week: $19.91 – $23.72 per hour
      Responsibilities include the development, implementation and execution of group exercise classes at Mason Community Center. Mason Community Center offers older adult, cardio, strength/toning, mind/body, dance and water class formats as well as Silver Sneakers, LesMills BODYPUMP, LesMills SH’BAM, LesMills GRIT, Zumba and TRX class formats.
    • Gymnastics Attendant
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsibilities include assisting the Gymnastics Instructor with the execution of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer classes for ages 18 months and up. Minimum 15 hours per week.
    • Gymnastics Instructor
      Hiring Range: $17.61 – $21.42 per hour
      Responsibilities include implementing and executing gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer classes for ages 18 months and up including pre-team, special events and future team gymnastics. Must have a current USA Gymnastics certification required or be willing to obtain within first 90 days. Evening and weekend availability required.
    • 2019 Summer Camp Counselor
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsible for the execution of summer camp programs and activities. Supervises and ensures safety of camp participants. Experience working with children is preferred. Job is based outdoors all summer. Must be available from Tuesday, May 28, 2019 – Friday, August 2, 2019; Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Camps do not run Monday, July 1 – Friday, July 5, 2019. Must be 18 years or older.”
    • Program Coordinator – Enrichment
      Hiring Range: $14.17 – $17.19 per hour
      Responsible for the planning, safety, effectiveness and coordination of the enrichment program and enrichment special events. Teaches swim lessons in the absence of Aquatic Instructors. Experience with Swim America is desirable. 25 hours per week. Must work a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
    • Pickleball Specialist
      Hiring range: $11.01-$13.39 per hour
      Responsible for organizing and leading Pickleball program. 15-25 hours per week.
    • Kids Korner Attendant
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsibilities include activities and supervision for patrons using the childcare facilities and services at the Mason Community Center. Daytime availability is preferred. Minimum of 15 hour per week.
    • Aquatic Instructor
      Hiring Range: $8.62 – $13.00 per hour
      Responsibilities include instruction of water safety, swimming, and diving techniques in accordance with the Swim America curriculum.
