On Friday, December 2 join the community in celebrating the beginning of the Christmas in Mason season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Mason Downtown Plaza. This event is free and open to the public to enjoy!
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at the Mason Downtown Plaza! Join your neighbors for holiday music, activities, FREE photos with Santa, food and refreshments, adult beverages provided by the American Legion, ornament crafts, ice-less skating, trackless train rides, a mechanical snowboard, polar bear slide and best of all, the official lighting of the Christmas tree! Be sure to visit the new countdown clock on the Downtown Plaza as the Mason community counts down to the lighting of the Christmas tree.
Interested in promoting your business at the Tree Lighting Ceremony? Local businesses are encouraged to take advantage of a free promotional opportunity at this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. Mason businesses are welcome to participate as an exhibitor or vendor at the event for FREE! The City will also once again be promoting all local Holiday activities taking place in the community as part of the 2022 Christmas in Mason Calendar. Local business owners and organizations are encouraged to submit their holiday event, program, or discount in the 2022 calendar for FREE! The 2022 Christmas in Mason Calendar will be distributed at the Tree Lighting Ceremony and will also be promoted on the City’s website. Road Closures
For safety reasons, West Main Street from the intersection of US Route 42 to North Forest Avenue and North West Street from the intersection of US Route 42 to Church Street will be closed beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 2 until the conclusion of the event. Detours will be provided. Please use caution and allow for additional time when traveling through this area.
