Nationally acclaimed acts Better Than Ezra and Tonic will be performing at the 2025 Red, Rhythm and Boom on Thursday, July 3! Watch the entertainment announcement video here: 

The fun will begin at 2025 Red, Rhythm and Boom at 4 p.m. with access to kid zone activities such as a 9-hole putt-putt course, slides and bounce houses, carnival games, a trackless train, and more! Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food truck options as well as adult beverages provided by the American Legion Post 194 throughout the evening. Stage entertainment will kick off at 6 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening until 10 p.m. The event will conclude with a firework display and drone show presented by Rozzi Famous Fireworks beginning at 10 p.m. We hope you can join us for this opportunity to celebrate Independence Day and showcase the quality of life offered in Mason.

2025 Red, Rhythm and Boom is FREE (no admission ticket is required). All lawn seating first come, first serve beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.

Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in volunteering at the event? Volunteers of all ages and abilities are needed to help make this event a success! Organizations or groups who gather at least ten people to volunteer for a four-hour shift each will receive a $200 donation to their organization or group.

Mason’s Red, Rhythm and Boom will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, schedule of events may be modified or cancelled with event updates posted on the City of Mason’s social media pages.

The City encourages residents and event participants to download the FREE Code Red Mobile App on their mobile phone to receive up to date weather and safety notifications for the event. Scan the QR Code above to download the free CodeRED Mobile Alert app. 

Lakeside Drive between Mason Montgomery Road and Foxfield Drive as well as Mason Montgomery Road from Foxfield Drive to Lakeside Drive will close beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3 for event set up. The Mason Municipal Center and Community Center Campus can be accessed using Nixon Park Drive and Foxfield Drive during this time. Detour signs will be posted.

Mason Community Center will be open from 6:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 3. The Mason Municipal Aquatic Center will be closed on Thursday, July 3. Mason Municipal Aquatic Center will be open with normal operating hours on Friday, July 4.

How much will the Kids Zone activities cost?

The Kid Zone activities require a wristband which will be sold for $10 at the event. You may purchase the Kids Zone wristbands at the Information Booths located throughout the event footprint. Wristbands will be sold beginning at 4:00 p.m. when the event begins until approximately 9:30 p.m. The wristbands provide access to any and all of the Kids Zone activities. Proceeds from wristband purchase will benefit Mason Parks and Recreation for Foundation. There will be a mix of inflatables, sports activities, and carnival games for those with Kid Zone wristbands to enjoy. There will also be ‘extreme’ activities that require a minimum height of 42 inches.

Are pets allowed at the Red, Rhythm and Boom event?

Pets can become overwhelmed by large crowds, noises, commotion, and fireworks. Be kind to your pet and leave them at home during this event. The City is not permitting pets on campus during this event.

How early can I set up my lawn chair?

Please refrain from setting up any items on the concert lawn until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. Items that are an impediment for setup operations will be removed and can be retrieved from the lost and found located in the Community Room inside the Mason Municipal Center.

What items are allowed at the event?

Event guests are welcome to bring a cooler, chair, and/or blanket while you enjoy the music and fireworks. Patrons who would like to set up these items are asked to please refrain from setting up in the designated standing room only area. Tents, umbrellas, glass containers and alcohol not bought on site are not permitted.

The City of Mason is not responsible for personal items left unattended, lost, stolen or removed before and throughout the event. Personal items must be removed from the campus promptly after the fireworks. Any items left will be discarded during clean-up.

Should I bring cash or card for purchases at this event?

A variety of food and non-food vendors will be available at the event and prices may vary. Credit cards may not be accepted at all food vendors.

What refreshments will be available for purchase?

The City and participating vendors will be proudly serving Pepsi products throughout the event. Proceeds from the sale of refreshments benefit the Mason Parks and Recreation Foundation. Additionally, the American Legion will be selling adult beverages as part of the July 3 event. Beverages will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and served throughout multiple locations at the event site. A portion of the proceeds from the beverage sales will benefit the Mason Parks and Recreation Foundation.

What should I do in case of an emergency at the event?

In case of any emergency during the event, please call 911. Emergency response personnel will be onsite during the event. In addition, two First Aid booths are available – look for the large red and white flags. The City encourages residents and event participants to download the FREE Code Red Mobile App on their mobile phone to receive up to date weather and safety notifications regarding the event.

Convenient off campus parking and shuttle service is available from local partners and businesses for this event. Parking at these locations is permitted on Thursday, July 3 beginning at 4:00 p.m. to midnight. A shuttle will transport event guests to the Mason Municipal Center Campus. RV’s or large trailers, alcohol, grills and glass bottles are NOT permitted in designated parking areas. Both onsite and offsite parking is indicated below:
